Spring 2016

Hello Otters! They popped by as soon as I hit the shoreline.

The snow was sparse this year, but late to leave…

Late spring this year, as of May 2nd still no chipmunks, just one hungover red squirrel to be seen. Lots of birds. Grouse hanging out in the driveway, the Owls came by camp for a visit, and saw the giant pileated woodpecker that’s been making all the racket. Took a trip to the Quadeville Beryl Pit, and got most of an outhouse built.

Summer 2015

Summer Time and the livin’ is easy. Mix of hot and rainy days, and crazy thunderstorms. The mosquitoes are getting a nice infusion, not a bad bug year overall though. Eagle Eye Tara spotted the oxymoronic and rare “Common Five Lined Skink”, no pictures though. But it did happen.
